Wagon Wheels (Beef and Bean Burgers)

Ingredients

  • 1 16 ounce can of pork and beans (I take out the little bit of pork, but I do not drain.)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion or 2 Tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 Tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt Optional, I do not add.

Instructions

  1. Let this mixture simmer while preparing the dough.
  2. While mixture is simmering, make 4? circles out of one 8 oz. can of buttermilk biscuits (not the jumbo biscuits) on cookie sheets that are lightly sprayed with cooking spray. (My mixture usually goes for 12-14 biscuits, so I use two cans.
  3. Spoon mixture equally onto the circles.
  4. Sprinkle the top of each circle with some shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake at 375° for 10-15 minutes or until dough is lightly brown.
