Coated Oreo Drops

Ingredients

  • 1 package 20 ounces chocolate cream-filled sandwich cookies (I used Aldi's which were only 15.5 ounces. I still used one 8-ounce package of cream cheese with it.)
  • 1 package 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 15 ounces white candy coating
  • 12 ounces chocolate candy or whatever colors you wish
  • Sugar sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Place the cookies in a blender or food processor and process until finely crushed.
  2. Beat cream cheese and crushed cookies until blended.
  3. Roll into 3/4" balls.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Melt chocolate in a small saucepan over very low heat, stirring until smooth or melt it in the microwave at 50%, stirring every minute. (Melt one color at a time.)
  6. Dip the balls in the chocolate, and place the covered balls on waxed paper until the chocolate is hardened.
  7. Drizzle a different color over the hardened chocolate or sprinkle colored sugar on the oreo balls while the chocolate is still wet.
  8. Store in the refrigerator. (I actually freeze mine.)
  9. I made 63 with Aldi's cookies. Amount will depend on how big/small you make your cookies.
