Chocolate Peanut Butter Candy Bars


  • 1 package about 18 ounces devil's food or dark chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can 5 ounces evaporated milk
  • 1/3 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup dry-roasted peanuts optional--We did not include.
  • 6 ounces chocolate peanut butter cups coarsely chopped


  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Lightly grease 13" x 9" baking pan.
  3. Beat cake mix, milk, and butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until well blended. (Dough will be stiff.)
  4. Spread 2/3 of dough in prepared pan. Sprinkle with peanuts (if desired).
  5. Bake 10 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped candy.
  6. Drop remaining dough by tablespoons over candy.
  7. Bake 15-20 minutes or until center is firm to touch.
  8. Cool completely in pan.
