I really want to get pictures on here from our Spring break, but I am still behind. Since I have not been taking many pictures lately, I am able to get all of one month’s pictures onto one post. In January, the main event was Joshua’s and Kiley’s birthdays. Joshua turned 7 and Kiley turned 5. It still seems kind-of weird that I have no babies as I had a baby for so long. Now I’m entering the next stage of having a teenager. My oldest turned 13 in 2015, so I will have a teenager for a long time! And I’m okay with that. God knew I would not have been able to teach had I had a baby and that moving to Florida would have been very hard as well. I’m glad He plans out all these things.
Since I had no time to do some elaborate birthday party, and it was the year that my kids get a friend’s birthday party, we had a combined birthday party for Kiley and Joshua at our church before the Wednesday night service. Since our church is smaller, we could invite all the kids. It was the easiest birthday party I have ever done and the kids had fun!
One reason the party was so easy was that Kiley’s school teacher made two rice krispy cakes for the kids. They looked so cute, and I didn’t have to worry about making a dessert!
Here is Kiley opening the few presents she received. We told everyone presents weren’t necessary, but a few still gave Joshua and Kiley presents, which they loved!
Joshua took a few silly pictures with his friends.
Here are some pictures of Kiley’s birthday celebration at home. Her Uncle Mike always sends a card with $20. What a great uncle! She wanted a mint pie for her dessert, and Grandma and Grandpa were passing by at that time and got to eat with us. That might be the last birthday they could do that as now we will live so far away, so I am glad that it worked out for them to be with us.
And Joshua also had a fun birthday on the last day of January!
Dave also took a picture of Joshua and Kiley somewhere that he went with the kids. I thought they were cute!
I hope you had fun seeing pictures of the 2 youngest! Next time, I will share February’s pictures which will have pictures of all of the kids!
