Life never slows down–but life is fun and life is good!
We are back in the school groove. We haven’t had any more snow days, but we did get a day off with President’s Day being in February. Even though there were no snow days, we did get more snow . . . and rain. And melting snow with some minor leaks from all the water. Now we are back into having cold weather with black ice everywhere. Spring will come sometime. . . I believe!
I’ve had full babysitting weeks the past two weeks (4 days a week), so that fills up my days, and I had a cold and a little stomach upset, so my excercising has gone out the window. I’ve only done about one day a week!
Last Sunday, we were able to eat at my parent’s house for dinner for our annual Valentine’s Day meal. It was fun to be together as we haven’t eaten together since a couple weeks before Christmas for our Christmas meal. Even though we live only 10 minutes apart, life gets busy! We do get to see each other at church, and we talk on the phone regularly!
The middle three children sang in church on Sunday night. It is always great to see them singing in their children’s choirs. The littler they are, the cuter they are!
Here is Joshua’s choir (4 and 5 year olds):
Here is Karis’s and Kristi’s choir:
My husband started teaching through Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Ted Tripp in our Wednesday night Bible studies at our church. I have enjoyed reading again how I as a parent need to be concerned with my children’s hearts, not just their behavior.
Joshua and I have spent some time working in his room this week cleaning it up and putting some sports vinyl decals around his name on his wall. It looks really nice, and he is quite proud of his room now. He has to show everyone it, and I’m hoping he’ll try to keep it clean as well!
Karis had her 3rd and 4th grade program this past Friday night, and they did such a great job. It’s always amazing for me to see how one music teacher can get all those kids singing together–and acting some parts!
On Creative K Kids, I made a couple of printables for Valentine’s Day
I’ve also participated in SITS Girls comment challenge, and I need to do all of Blogelina’s commentathon in the next few days. (You sign up and comment on so many blogs, and they are all supposed to comment on your blog as well.)
This next week, I am planning to do the Bloggers Brags Pinterest Party and Tasty Tuesday Party on Creative K Kids and a sponsored post on Thursday. I also need to do my goals post on Friday–I am so dreading that! The Ultimate Linky will continue it’s linky parties with 2 more parties ready to start on it in March.
