I was able to receive a Miracle Grill Mat to review. It claims that you can place the mat on a grill, grill on it, and avoid that hard work of cleaning your grill. Now, if I can avoid cleaning, I’m all for it!
So we put it to the test!
We pulled out some chicken and butternut squash and grilled it all! One very nice feature of this grill is that you can grill small vegetables and now they won’t fall between the grate. With its not-stick surface, it was easy to turn all the food items to ensure even cooking. It fit excellently on the bottom rack of our grill, but the mats can also be cut to your grill’s size. You can also use it on charcoal or gas grills, indoors or outdoors! And either I did an excellent job marinating the meat, or the mat helped the meat retain all it’s flavor as the juice did not drip all away since it was sitting on the mat.
Then came the real test: Was it easy to clean up?
I brought it inside and was able to clean it with my washrag and some soap, and the residue from the food came off very easily. After it was dry, I stuck it back in the envelope that it came in to keep it nice and straight so that we can use it over and over again! This mat is also nice because you can also use it in the oven to bake cookies or other foods on. Instead of using parchment paper, you can use this mat over and over again!

Here is how I grilled the butternut squash:
- I cut off the rind and scooped out the seeds.
- I cut it in 1/2″ – 1″ sections so that it would cook in the middle.
- I dipped it in olive oil, and then in Frying Magic. (You could also use your favorite seasonings/salt/pepper.)
- Then we grilled it on both sides!
