I’ve now been a mother for 15 years, and the years go faster and faster.
My journeyhood of motherhood is very different now than when I started. I have no more babies. I am out of the house more than in it. Those early years, I was home most days babysitting other children as well as watching my own. Now I am teaching my children along with other children every morning and running around almost every afternooon.
The struggles my kids are facing are completely different as well. Friends, school, thoughts of college, hormones, and feelings are things we are now dealing with. It’s not an easier time, but it is a rewarding time.
What I would never change is our decision to have five children. We may not have much money, but we are so glad for childhood treasures. When I started blogging, I was back in the years when I was home all the time. I had my last baby, and I was babysitting. I was done with the “up all hours” stage of life. My oldest children were in school, so I had time as I sat at home to write my lengthy blog posts. That was when I shared more crafts and Mother’s Day posts.
Now in my running around stage, I hammer out a few posts late at night, and that’s all the time I have. BUT, since my children are older, my second daughter said she will do some craft posts this summer for the blog! Older children are a blessing!
