This summer, I have been blogging the minimum as I went on a three week vacation visiting all of our family up north as well as visiting our favorite doctors that I love and haven’t wanted to replace. Then I got back and dove right into school preparations as well as many other church responsibilities I am heading up.
After a relaxing day of preparing lesson plans for next week, doing laundry, washing my floor, and other mundane tasks (we do not have school on Friday), I decided I should get back to sharing our family memories before I get any farther behind.
These memories are from last March — so long ago!
Our kids do about half of their classes on the computer, so I finally got pictures of them doing their schoolwork. In March, the kids also had a school “spirit week.” Since they did most of the activities with the other children in school, I couldn’t put most of those pictures on here. Kiley and I did Twin Day together. That was a lot of fun! You can also see pictures of Joshua on Twin Day and on Sports Day, Kiley on Pajama Day, and Kristi as a princess on Disney Day
The kids also finished their Upwards basketball games in March. After their last game, we went and got ice cream together. All three of the kids that played won the most important award, the Christ-like award, and we were very proud of them!
March is the big month for picking strawberries in March. We have to drive about an hour to get to a big strawberry field, but we ended up going two times. They were so good, and they were only 50 cents a quart!
We also finally got to go to The Florida Aquarium. Dave’s sister had gifted our kids for Christmas a family pass, and we didn’t have the opportunity to go until March. It was a lot of fun to go as a family!
March is also a beautiful time to go to the beach in Florida. At the beginning of March, the tourists haven’t descended yet, and it isn’t super hot. After not being at the beach for a couple of months, it was great to be back!
One of our adopted grandmas here in Florida got a puppy in March, so we had to go visit and get some puppy love in!
And what’s spring without a visit to the park? It was even chilly enough to wear a hoodie one morning! That felt wonderful to us northerners!
Then I had to throw in a few miscellaneous pictures. There is one of Dave in his office, Kristi wiped out and scraped up her face — twice. She even chipped a front tooth a tiny bit. Then we had a church work day and Joshua had fun painting the speed bumps.
