I am excited to be part of a group of terrific bloggers who are putting together different kid Christmas gift guides.
They are all different, and there are various topics. They will all be linked up HERE. Find many great ideas for this coming Christmas by exploring these gift guides.
I have put together a list of gifts that you can make for that special child in your life.
Some are easy and some are harder, but all are DIY gifts. So if you are low on money this year or you just want to give a handmade, gift of love, then I hope this will help you out! This post does contain a few affiliate links, but they are all products I have used and believe in!
DIY Gifts For Preschool Age or Younger:
I was able to review the Stackapals from The Modest Mom Blog/Deborah & Co. Once you buy the bundle set, they will send the PDF file, where you can print off 6 girls and 6 boys and put them on either one and a half inch or two inch wooden blocks. I chose the 2″ size as 1 1/2″ seemed small. I only made 3 characters as I had bought only one set of 4 blocks. You can use sticker paper, but I just printed the paper off on cardstock. I also used my cheap inkjet printer, even though it was recommended to use a high quality printer. I was worried my ink would run when I applied mod podge, but it was okay.
The blocks were very easy to do. I used my paper cutter to cut on the lines, applied mod podge to the back of the paper and to the block with a foam brush. After the paper had dried, I put two layers of mod podge on the top of the paper, letting each layer dry between coats of mod podge.
These would make great gifts for young children, and I may make some for baby showers now that my youngest is almost 4 years old!
The supplies I needed were the following: scissors or a paper cutter, Mod Podge
, sponge or paintbrush, and wood blocks. I bought my blocks at Hobby Lobby.
