Another week has come and gone! Spiritually, I have so enjoyed meditating on Enoch’s walk with God, and I have gleaned many nuggets of truth from the verses that I looked at each day. Job-wise, I babysat every day this week! Normally, I do not babysit every day, so this week was a little crazy. Weather-wise, it’s been wild! We had rain almost every day with over 5″ of rain on Thursday, so streets and houses were flooding. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband who went to help my sister and his parents with their basements. We finished out this wacky weather with snow flurries today. Even so, spring, come quickly!
House-wise, our dryer started eating our clothes this week. The seal was broken, and holes and grease started appearing on the clothes.
So after one week of not doing laundry, I headed to my parent’s house tonight to dry seven loads of laundry. We do have a clothesline, but with the rain and mud, using it was not an option. I do not know how Laura and Mary Ingalls only had 2 dresses each, but I think it might be an option to consider! It was a lot of fun to share the evening with my parents. We played games, talked a lot, folded laundry, and ate pizza that I had already made and had been stashed in my freezer!
News-wise, I was saddened by the incomprehensible news of the loss of precious life. These tragedies are something that I can never understand, and I am grieving for the families who have lost loved ones and for those who were injured in Boston. Of course, every soul who died is a terrible waste, but I ache for the family of the 8 year old boy who died, his sister who lost a leg, and the mom who is injured as well. To hurt the innocent is unthinkable, and since I have children at that age, I can not even imagine the pain they are enduring. I pray that these who are hurting will turn to the God of all comfort during this excruciating time of pain and loss.
