I am so behind in sharing memories. However, I have decided that I like doing these posts much later as they bring back so many good memories.
Last April, we were in a different ministry, different state, and in a totally different phase of our lives. It was fun to look at the pictures of friends who have supported us in our changes.
One activity in April was that thhe kids and teenagers were part of a youth service at church.
Joshua, Kristi, and Karis sang in the 1st – 6th grade choir, and Kaylin sang in the youth choir as well as took part in a reader’s theatre.
There was also a school concert in April.
The bands played, the choirs sang, and the Kristi and Joshua had fun playing their recorders.
We had our garage sale in April.
It did really well, and we got rid of a ton of stuff. We could have gotten rid of a bunch more stuff too!
We also sent our first truck to Florida with a lot of our belongings — and a lot of Dave’s books.
We are so thankful for all of our friends who helped pack our truck and supported us in this move.
We made time for a short trip to see my sister in Indiana as we knew once we moved we might only see them once a year.
It was a fun time, but it was also sad as the cousins have so much fun together, and they knew that these times together were ending.
We also had our first trip to a local park.
Living in the North is different than living in the South when it comes to our spring tradition of visiting a park. I would always take pictures when we visited a local park on one of the first warm days that were jacket-free in the spring. It was so exciting to know that summer was almost here and warm weather was upon us. Now that we are in Florida, it is warm all the time, so this tradition probably won’t be happening anymore, but new traditions are being made.
