We’re still acclimating to the idea of summer all year long. In the past, our Novembers consisted of raking leaves and watching the first snow fall. This November, we had fun going to the beach and playing outdoors. Here are just a few of our November memories:
Some of our friends took a trip to Florida.
We were able to go to the beach and spend the day with them. We had such a fun day and laughed a lot!
Our school had a field trip to a local farm.
My older kids had a little bit of a bad attitude and thought it wouldn’t be fun as they’ve seen a lot of farms. They ended up having a much better time than they expected. They were able to go in to the chicken pen and hold the chickens. They decided they wanted me to have chickens — but I wasn’t for that so much.
They were also able to milk a cow. Somehow I missed taking a picture of Kaylin milking the cow.
And all of them got a pony ride, which the younger ones really enjoyed.
Another fun event in November was that the Cubs won the World Series!
I have to admit that I am not a die-hard fan for the Cubs even though I grew up in Illinois. I watched the White Sox more than the Cubs, but I must say that the last game of the World Series was the most exciting baseball game I have ever watched.
Our oldest turned 14 in November!
In one year, she’ll be getting a permit to drive a car. That’s scary! She went somewhere, and they had the bulletin board up for someone’s birthday. How neat was that! She had a couple of friends sleep over and we went to thrift stores together on Black Friday. That’s our idea of clothes’ shopping!
November was also the presidential election. The kids got to vote at school which was fun to watch.
We still are overwhelmed with God’s amazing creation.
There is beauty all around us, and we are loving living in the Sunshine State. After years of winter where you have many gloomy days, the winter here has been gorgeous. In November, we also had fun celebrating a dear friend’s birthday.
