I have not done a Scattered Saturdays post in about a month as life has been so crazy this summer. I will try to catch you up on our life with a few pictures!
After the Fourth of July we went into moving mode. Many long hours were spent trying to get our new house ready for the 7 of us, and our old house cleaned up from the 7 of us. We also had VBS in which the four youngest were able to participate, and the oldest was able to help. At the end of VBS, the two oldest girls became ill, and I took them to Walgreens clinic as both were scheduled to go away to camp the next week. Sure enough, Kaylin had strep throat which was a first for our family, and Karis had an ear infection. Both were able to get on medicine quickly enough to go still go to camp.
So the second week of July, the two oldest went to camp. They had a great time!
During that week, we inherited two cousins for the week to play with the youngest three . . . while we continued to move.
Since the cousins were in town, the parents were also in town for part of the week, and they helped up put up half a wall my husband had constructed to give my daughter a little room in the new house. It was so hot and the wall was a bear to get up. We are very thankful for their help.
We were able to go to Chuck E Cheese as a fun outing here while the big kids were having fun at camp.
The third week of July was all about getting moved out of our old our house, and the fourth week of July was all about cleaning our old house and trying to unpack our new house. Plus we threw in a quick Great America trip with the oldest two girls so we could use their free tickets they got for school.
Now we are trying to get out the door for our family vacation to go see my grandma who is 93! There is never a dull moment around here, but I decided home is really where the heart is. I told my kids that as long as we are all together, we are at home. And having our own beds helps to make a house feel like a home as well.
I pray your summer is going great! I’ll try to show pictures of our vacation in a couple of weeks.
